Prosthetics is the science of producing an orthopaedic appliance that replaces a missing body part. Prosthetic limbs are custom made for clients that have either had an amputation or who are born with a limb absence or shortening. APOS Ltd provides both upper and lower limb Prostheses and our clinicians are experienced in providing Prosthetic limbs for all levels of limb deficiency. Particular specialties are lower limb Prosthetic rehabilitation, accommodation of congenital limb deficiencies, cosmetic upper limb prostheses and high end lower limb Prostheses for individuals with high activity levels. We aim to use the latest technology available to provide the best restoration of function possible. APOS Ltd is an independently owned Irish company and is able to source componentry from all suppliers hence we can base prescription decisions on clinical factors. Our clinical and technical facility is open Monday to Friday in Kilcolgan and will seek to accommodate urgent repairs and adjustments wherever possible. Where necessary the Prosthetists at APOS will seek to work as part of a multidisciplinary team and will make contact with Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and other medical services as required.
